PC Specialty Care Recognized with 2023 AHCA/NCAL Silver National Quality Award
La Porte City Specialty Care has been recognized as a 2023
Silver – Achievement in Quality award recipient by the American Health Care
Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL). The award is the
second of three distinctions possible through the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award
Program, which recognizes organizations that meet progressively rigorous standards of
performance to further improve the lives of residents and staff in long term care.
La Porte City Specialty Care Receives 2023 Governor's Award for Quality Care
La Porte City Specialty Care, a member of Iowa Health Care Association (IHCA), has received the Governor's Award for Quality Care in Health Care Facilities for 2023. This award recognizes Iowa health care facilities that offer unique or innovative activities to enhance the quality of care or quality of life for their residents. Facilities are nominated for the award by residents and family members.

Area long-term care facility receives National Silver Achievement Quality Award
The American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) recently announced the recipients of the 2023 Silver Achievement in Quality Award. La Porte City Specialty Care (La Porte City, IA) and West Ridge Care Center (Cedar Rapids, IA) were recognized by AHCA/NCAL with this award. The AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program honors long-term and post-acute care providers that have demonstrated their commitment to improving the quality of care for seniors and individuals with disabilities.

Nominations for the award are made by residents, family members, or staff of the
healthcare facilities. The Department of Inspection and Appeals received three
nominations for La Porte City Specialty Care from current residents' families.
